The Art of Embracing Simple

Updated: May 6, 2021

“How can I help?” “Why do you think you’re feeling this way?” Somedays when you’re

“struggling hard,” more questions can seem to make everything harder. That constant sense of analyzing and being analyzed can just add to your overwhelming sense of struggle. Sometimes what we really need is a peaceful escape from the pressures of everyday life.

For the past two years, my vision has been to create a place of inner peace and a respite from the chaotic world in which we live. A place to combat anxiety, chronic stress and depression, naturally and alongside western medicine. The World Health Organization claims that by 2030 the largest health crisis the world will face is depression. The writing is already on the walls. We don’t need to wait for 2030 to act.

Imagine for a moment feeling solace from all the “talking,” life’s overwhelming responsibilities and the swirling that takes over your mind. A place where you engage in a series of self-care practices, bundled together, that are working for you while freeing you from outside stimulation to clear you mind. A practice that will make your days a little brighter and your load a little lighter. Imagine Float has the answer.

In an effort to support mental and emotional wellness, Imagine Float, an award-winning, woman-owned wellness center in Avon, CT, has created a six-week program, Embracing Simple: A Wellness Workshop. The best way to combat stress, anxiety and depression that has built up over time, is to tackle it over time with consistent practice. Floatation Therapy is a private, saltwater bath that gently floats away tension and stress and neutralizes the ill effects of our overstimulated environments. While a single float therapy session provides some relief, the effect of multiple sessions is cumulative. The practice of floating regularly provides maximum benefits, including reducing anxiety and depression, improving sleep, and providing lasting stress relief.

After years of counseling and various therapies to help her manage anxiety, childhood trauma and chronic stress, Sarah Y. from the Farmington Valley visited Imagine Float. She enrolled in our six-week Embracing Simple Program and her results well exceeded her expectations. She had this to say upon completing the program:

“This space and floating gave me a different type of relief and sense of processing that I have never had before. A comfort. A place to process thoughts without feedback to get to a state of neutrality. I remember thinking, this is how normal people experience life and not in a constant heightened state of anxiety.”

This is EXACTLY why Imagine Float is here and EXACTLY what our program hopes to achieve. Sarah maintains her floating practice, with an exclusive membership option upon program completion, to build and maintain her resilience. We have helped so many others like Sarah make a renewed commitment to achieving inner peace, create a physical awakening, and reclaim their best life by supporting their mental wellness.
